Models Added and Most Popular Page Updated

We have once again added 25 models to our repository including 10 vintage models. This brings our total to 1,300 models.

We also made some changes to our most popular models page. For each model in the list there are now up to four related models shown, also sorted by popularity.

Some Models Added and A Few Removed

This week we noticed three models in our catalog that don't belong so we've taken them out. Two of them, SKZ269 and SKZ271, are legitimate Seiko models but they do not have a "5" on the dial so we don't consider them Seiko 5s. The third model is one we had listed as SKX177 but for now we think the image belongs to another model number. When we figure out what model it is we'll add it back in.

Since we like raising our model total by multiples of 25 we're adding 28 models today to make up for the three we removed. Once again we've added 10 vintage models while the rest are more recent. This brings our total to 1,275 models.

More Vintage and Other Models Added

Once again we've added 25 models to our catalog including 10 vintage models and 15 non-vintage models. This brings our total to 1,250 models. Google continues to move us up in their rankings helping our traffic to grow. We now consistently enjoy more than 300 visitors per day.

Vintage and Women's Models Added

Today we added another 25 models to our catalog including 10 vintage models and 15 women's models. This brings our totals to 35 vintage models, 156 women's models and 1,225 models overall.

We also made some improvements to our Similar Watches algorithm so you should see even better suggestions on each watch detail page.

New Feature: Compare Models

We are very happy to announce that you can now compare two different Seiko 5 models side-by-side on the Seiko 5 Finder site. There are several ways to use the new comparison feature.

First, you can click on the "Compare Models" tab on the top banner of the site. If you click from the detail page for a watch then that watch will be loaded as one of the comparison choices. To choose the second watch for comparison you can either enter it into the form on the left side of the page or click on one of the suggested similar watches shown on the right side of the page. If you are not on the detail page for a watch when you click on the "Compare Models" tab then the two most popular watches will be loaded for comparison. You can update either or both selections in the selection form and click the "Compare Watches" button to update the page.

The second way to compare models is possible when you see a list of watches in the search results or a list of similar watches on the detail page for a watch. There is now a checkbox below each watch in these lists. From the search results page click on any two checkboxes. When you click on the second checkbox the comparison page will be loaded for the two selected watches. From the similar watches list click on any one checkbox and the comparison page will be loaded for that watch and the watch whose detail page you are viewing.
